WALL*E

I have yet to watch this movie without crying. A big reason why I cry is because of the use of Hello Dolly songs. I think they're used perfectly. I can't hear the end of "It Only Takes A Moment" without getting misty-eyed, mainly because of Wall*E... but I am a bit of a softie. I saw Wall*E with my little cousin Heather and she teased me for crying. Every time. By far, this is my favorite Pixar film. It's beautiful and I love its messages of love and taking responsibility for our planet. My favorite line in the movie (that doesn't have much dialogue) is "I don't wanna survive! I wanna live!" After watching the DVD of it today, I watched a special feature on the sound in the movie and was blown away by all of the effects that went into everything from the characters' voices to the 15 types of engine noises used to make Wall*E realistically move. It truly is amazing to me how brilliantly and seamlessly it all went together to make the movie what it is. I honestly can't find anything wrong with it, and that's rare. My favorite character is Mo. :) 10/16/09
